বঙ্গানুবাদ
1.Rabindranath had his
own ideas of education. He believed that one can learn as much from nature as
from books. For this reason he started a school of his own at Santiniketan. It
is called Vishwabharati.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা সম্পর্কে রবীন্দ্রনাথের
নিজস্ব ধারণা ছিল। তিনি বিশ্বাস করতেন যে বই থেকে যেমন শেখা যায়, তেমনি প্রকৃতি থেকেও
শেখা যায়। এই কারণেই তিনি শান্তিনিকেতনে নিজের একটি বিদ্যালয় স্থাপন করেছিলেন। এর নাম
বিশ্বভারতী।
2. Once a father whose
son had fallen in evil company gave him a basket of good mangoes with one bad
in it. Next day the good mangoes were found rotten. The man told the boy that
the bad mango had spoilt the good ones. He added that bad company likewise made
good boys bad.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ একবার এক বাবা, যার ছেলে খারাপ সঙ্গ পেয়েছিল, তাকে ভালো আম ভর্তি একটি ঝুড়ি
দিলেন, যার মধ্যে একটি খারাপ আমও ছিল। পরের দিন দেখা গেল ভালো আমগুলোও পচে গেছে। লোকটি
তার ছেলেকে বলল যে, খারাপ আমটিই ভালো আমগুলোকে নষ্ট করে দিয়েছে। সে আরও বলল যে, খারাপ
সঙ্গও একইভাবে ভালো ছেলেদের খারাপ করে দেয়।
3. A real friend is he
who remains true to us as long as he lives. He will share our sorrows as well
as our joys. He will stand by us in our hard times and is always ready to help
us. He will risk everything, even life for the sake of his friend.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ প্রকৃত বন্ধু সেই, যে আজীবন আমাদের প্রতি বিশ্বস্ত থাকে। সে আমাদের দুঃখ
ও আনন্দ উভয়ই ভাগ করে নেবে। সে আমাদের কঠিন সময়ে পাশে দাঁড়াবে এবং সর্বদা সাহায্য করতে
প্রস্তুত থাকবে। সে তার বন্ধুর জন্য সবকিছু, এমনকি নিজের জীবনও বাজি রাখতে পারে।
4. Words have lot of
power. They can help or hurt, bless or curse. Unkind words do a lot of harm,
kind words do a lot of good. We can spoil a friends happiness by an unkind
word.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ শব্দের অনেক শক্তি আছে। তারা সাহায্য করতে পারে বা আঘাত করতে পারে, আশীর্বাদ
করতে পারে বা অভিশাপ দিতে পারে। নিষ্ঠুর কথা অনেক ক্ষতি করে, আর দয়ালু কথা অনেক উপকার
করে। আমরা একটি নিষ্ঠুর কথার মাধ্যমে বন্ধুর সুখ নষ্ট করে দিতে পারি।
5. It is very difficult
to get rid of bad habits. So, we should be very careful that we do not get into
bad habits in our childhood. Idleness is one such bad habit. Every boy and girl
should be diligent.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ খারাপ অভ্যাস ত্যাগ করা খুব কঠিন। তাই আমাদের খুব সতর্ক থাকতে হবে যাতে
শৈশবে কোনো খারাপ অভ্যাসে আমরা আসক্ত না হই। অলসতা এমনই একটি খারাপ অভ্যাস। প্রত্যেক
ছেলেমেয়েরই পরিশ্রমী হওয়া উচিত।
6. No person can be
happy without friends. But you cannot receive affection unless you also give
it. Love is to be obtained only by giving love in return. If your companions do
not love you it is your fault. They cannot but love you, if you be kind and
friendly.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ বন্ধু ছাড়া কোনো মানুষ সুখী হতে পারে না। কিন্তু আপনি স্নেহ না দিলে তা
পাবেনও না। ভালোবাসা কেবল ভালোবাসার বিনিময়েই পাওয়া যায়। আপনার সঙ্গীরা যদি আপনাকে
ভালোবাসে না, তবে সেটা আপনারই দোষ। আপনি যদি দয়ালু ও বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ হন, তবে তারা আপনাকে
ভালোবাসতে বাধ্য হবে।
7. It is very difficult
to get rid of bad habits. So we should be very careful that we do not get into
bad habits in our childhood. Idleness is one such bad habit. Every boy and girl
should be diligent.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ খারাপ অভ্যাস ত্যাগ করা খুব কঠিন। তাই আমাদের খুব সতর্ক থাকতে হবে যাতে
শৈশবেই কোনো খারাপ অভ্যাসে আমরা আসক্ত না হয়ে পড়ি। অলসতা এমনই একটি খারাপ অভ্যাস। প্রত্যেক
ছেলেমেয়েরই পরিশ্রমী হওয়া উচিত।
8. India is my
motherland. It is an ancient country. India is the second largest populated
country in the world. All kinds of people live here and they speak in different
languages- wear different costumes and observes customs. But there is unity in
diversity.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ ভারত আমার মাতৃভূমি। এটি একটি প্রাচীন দেশ। ভারত বিশ্বের দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তম
জনবহুল দেশ। এখানে সব ধরনের মানুষ বাস করে এবং তারা বিভিন্ন ভাষায় কথা বলে, বিভিন্ন
পোশাক পরে ও রীতিনীতি পালন করে। কিন্তু এই বৈচিত্র্যের মধ্যেও ঐক্য বিদ্যমান।
9. Words have a lot of
power. They can help or hurt, bless or curse. Unkind words do a lot of harm.
Kind words do a lot of good.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ শব্দের অনেক শক্তি আছে। তারা সাহায্য করতে পারে বা ক্ষতি করতে পারে, আশীর্বাদ
করতে পারে বা অভিশাপ দিতে পারে। নিষ্ঠুর কথা অনেক ক্ষতি করে। দয়ালু কথা অনেক ভালো
করে।
10. Man is a social animal. He cannot live
alone. No person can be happy without having sincere friends. But selfish
person fail to make real friendship. Because to get love, you must give love in
return.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ মানুষ একটি সামাজিক জীব। সে একা বাঁচতে পারে না। আন্তরিক বন্ধু ছাড়া কোনো
মানুষ সুখী হতে পারে না। কিন্তু স্বার্থপর ব্যক্তিরা প্রকৃত বন্ধুত্ব গড়তে ব্যর্থ হয়।
কারণ ভালোবাসা পেতে হলে বিনিময়ে ভালোবাসা দিতে হয়।
11. Patriotism is love
for ones country. It is a powerful sentiment and wholly unselfish and noble. A
patriot can sacrifice even his own life for the good of his country. It is
idealism that gives courage and strength. But false patriotism makes a man
narraow minded and selfish.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃদেশপ্রেম হলো নিজের দেশের প্রতি ভালোবাসা। এটি একটি শক্তিশালী অনুভূতি এবং
সম্পূর্ণ নিঃস্বার্থ ও মহৎ। একজন দেশপ্রেমিক তার দেশের ভালোর জন্য নিজের জীবন পর্যন্ত
উৎসর্গ করতে পারেন। এটি এমন এক আদর্শবাদ যা সাহস ও শক্তি জোগায়। কিন্তু মিথ্যা দেশপ্রেম
মানুষকে সংকীর্ণমনা ও স্বার্থপর করে তোলে।
12. Education has no end
so you should keep up your reading. Many young men close their books when they
have taken their degrees and learn no more. Therefore they very soon forget all
they have learnt before.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ শিক্ষার কোনো শেষ নেই, তাই আপনার পড়া চালিয়ে যাওয়া উচিত। অনেক যুবক ডিগ্রি
পাওয়ার পর বই পড়া বন্ধ করে দেয় এবং আর শেখে না। ফলে তারা খুব তাড়াতাড়ি আগে শেখা সবকিছু
ভুলে যায়।
13. The age we live in
is an age of science. It has been many wonderful inventions. All these
inventions have made our life easy and comfortable. They are useful to us in
many ways.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ আমরা যে যুগে বাস করি তা বিজ্ঞানের যুগ। এই যুগে অনেক চমৎকার আবিষ্কার হয়েছে।
এই সমস্ত আবিষ্কার আমাদের জীবনকে সহজ ও আরামদায়ক করে তুলেছে। এগুলো আমাদের জন্য নানাভাবে
উপকারী।
14. Patriotism is love
for one's country. It is a powerful sentiment and wholly unselfish and noble. A
patriot puts his country first. A patriot can sacrifice even his own life for
the good of his own country.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ দেশপ্রেম হলো নিজের দেশের প্রতি ভালোবাসা। এটি একটি শক্তিশালী অনুভূতি এবং
সম্পূর্ণ নিঃস্বার্থ ও মহৎ। একজন দেশপ্রেমিক তার দেশকে সবার আগে স্থান দেন। একজন দেশপ্রেমিক
নিজের দেশের ভালোর জন্য নিজের জীবন পর্যন্ত উৎসর্গ করতে পারেন।
15. Once a soldier was
made a prisoner of war. After a few years the war ended and he was released.
One day while he was walking near a market he saw a bird-seller with a cage
full of birds for sale. The soldier bought the cage and then set all the birds
free one by one. When the people around asked him about his strange behavior he
replied, "I know the agony of captivity."
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ একবার একজন সৈনিক যুদ্ধবন্দী হয়েছিলেন। কয়েক বছর পর যুদ্ধ শেষ হলো এবং তাকে
মুক্তি দেওয়া হলো। একদিন বাজারের পাশ দিয়ে হাঁটার সময় তিনি একজন পাখি বিক্রেতাকে খাঁচায়
ভর্তি পাখি বিক্রি করতে দেখলেন। সৈনিকটি খাঁচাটি কিনে নিলেন এবং তারপর একে একে সব পাখিগুলোকে
মুক্ত করে দিলেন। আশেপাশের লোকেরা যখন তার এই অদ্ভুত আচরণের কারণ জিজ্ঞাসা করল, তখন
তিনি উত্তর দিলেন, "আমি বন্দিত্বের যন্ত্রণা জানি।"
16. Discipline is of
great importance in student life. Students should be taught to realize that the
observance of discipline is a sacred duty of theirs. They should respect their
superiors. They should cultivate the habit of punctuality and good manners.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ ছাত্রজীবনে শৃঙ্খলার গুরুত্ব অপরিসীম। শিক্ষার্থীদের এটা উপলব্ধি করানো
উচিত যে শৃঙ্খলা মেনে চলা তাদের একটি পবিত্র কর্তব্য। তাদের উচিত ঊর্ধ্বতনদের প্রতি
শ্রদ্ধাশীল হওয়া। তাদের সময়ানুবর্তিতা ও ভালো আচরণের অভ্যাস গড়ে তোলা উচিত।
17. Student life is the
stage of preparation for the future. This is the most important period of life.
A student is young today. But he will be a man tomorrow.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ ছাত্রজীবন হলো ভবিষ্যতের জন্য প্রস্তুতির পর্যায়। এটি জীবনের সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ
সময়। একজন ছাত্র আজ তরুণ, কিন্তু আগামীকাল সে একজন পূর্ণাঙ্গ মানুষ হবে।
18. The teachers are
regarded as the backbone of the society. They build the future citizens of
country. They love students as their children. The teachers always encourage
and inspire as to be good and great in life.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ শিক্ষকদের সমাজের মেরুদণ্ড হিসেবে গণ্য করা হয়। তাঁরা দেশের ভবিষ্যৎ নাগরিক
তৈরি করেন। তাঁরা শিক্ষার্থীদের নিজেদের সন্তানের মতো ভালোবাসেন। শিক্ষকরা সর্বদা আমাদের
জীবনে ভালো ও মহান হওয়ার জন্য উৎসাহিত ও অনুপ্রাণিত করেন।
19. Words have a lot of
power. They can help or hurt, bless or curse. Unkind words do a lot of harm,
kind words do a lot of good. We can spoil a friend's happiness by an unkind
word, but cheer up a sad heart with a kind word, which costs nothing.
বঙ্গানুবাদঃ শব্দের অনেক শক্তি। তারা সাহায্য করতে পারে বা আঘাত করতে পারে, আশীর্বাদ
করতে পারে বা অভিশাপ দিতে পারে। নিষ্ঠুর কথা অনেক ক্ষতি করে, আর দয়ালু কথা অনেক উপকার
করে। আমরা একটি নিষ্ঠুর কথা দিয়ে বন্ধুর সুখ নষ্ট করে দিতে পারি, কিন্তু একটি দয়ালু
কথা দিয়ে একটি দুঃখী মনকে আনন্দিত করতে পারি, যার জন্য কোনো মূল্য দিতে হয় না।
